COMMENTARY
1. Short take with one blast from foghorn. Strange echo off house about 24 meters away. Name of lighthouse: Phare D'Eckmuhl. Lighthouse is across the road from a main street.
2. Note reverb after hornblast. Dialogue with guide. Horn blasts every 58 seconds. An incredible sound, like a moaning bull!
3. No hornblasts in this take, but a lot of heavy breathing.
4. Very reverberant ambience. Girl behind recordist counting stairs in a strong whisper.
5. A few powerful blasts from foghorn; seagulls and distant horns (hardly audible) can't hear the ocean.
6. Seagulls and some distant higher pitched horn (from a buoy?)
7. Unclear what it is signaling.
8 &9. note dull thud when ball is hit.
10. Loud ambience, with bottles clinking in back.
11. Note the low freq. rumble underlying the active ambience.
12. Moving along quay: interesting changes of ambiences and activities.
