COMMENTARY
1. see data sheet for details.
2. Many plastic crates with fish moving about in them. Auctioneer moves from crate to crate, with his own mic and speaker, doing his number at each location. Interesting spatial effect. Note also his very fast chanting? (all in French, of course).
3. (note 3-6, low rumble from heating system) Priest speaking; the two priests are miked, the amplification is hardly noticeable. When priest leaves podium, his voice hardly changes. Congregation singing (only about 50-60 people) without organ accompaniment. Church quite small, hardly any reverberation. When congregation gets up, chairs squeak against floor, no benches.
5. Priest's voice animated and expressive as he tells the story of sermon on the mount(?). Good sequence.
6. Priest reading from a book, then adding his commentaries (sermon), very dramatic speaking. Great!
7. Sermon continues, take begins with heating system off, then clicks on.
8. Money collection, some responses, beginning of communion. Heating system off.
10. People taking communion and singing as they file to the altar. Note appearance of deep male voice here for the first time.
11. Song with the tune of "When the saints go marching in" Then recorded music at end (le Carpenter XVII cent. Te Deum). Sounds funky.
13. Music from juke box in background. Amazingly folksy.
