REEL 55 COMMENTARY
1. Heavy low frequency rumble, and moozak going -- female voice singing. Terrible soundscape.2. Nice clear take, with the occasional car passing. Boys shouting, of course, in French. Great take. Sounds a bit reverberant, is there a building close by?
6. Note quiet ambience after cows have passed. One can hear woman shouting at cows in distance for quite a while.
7. Bruce getting out of car, asking in French, dog barking and some quiet bird ambience after he gets back into car.
8. A constant hubbub of turkeys "talking" and screaming. Very strange sound.
9. Turkeys are closer to microphone in this take. Some of them could also be perceived as jowling young dogs.
11. First a motorbike, then 2 cars in otherwise completely quiet ambience.
12. Good approach and disappearance because of quiet ambience.
13. Children inside house, muffled chatter, then coming outside (2'15"), running to next house, with candy boxes rattling, dog barking (3'05").
