SIMPLE SOUND SOURCE
An idealized sound source, or close actual approximation to it, that radiates sound uniformly in all directions in a FREE FIELD situation. Also called a point source. Such a situation is assumed in geometric spreading and INVERSE-SQUARE LAW calculations.
