Electroacoustics / Music The faithfulness or FIDELITY with which an original sound is reproduced electroacoustically in terms of FREQUENCY RESPONSE and lack of DISTORTION.
In music the term quality was for many years used to express TIMBRE, but this is now used less frequently.
