Today the federal government  to allow fully vaccinated U.S. travellers into Canada on August 9th and travellers from all other countries on September 7th.

Tourists must upload proof that they have been fully vaccinated with a vaccine that is currently approved for use in Canada (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca or Johnson & Johnson) to the ArriveCAN app. They must be fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to entering Canada for non-essential travel.

Fully vaccinated individuals must also have a negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours before arrival but will not have to do a post-arrival test unless they are randomly selected to be tested.

Upon meeting this criteria, travellers will not have to quarantine for 14 days but must have a quarantine plan in place in case a border official finds they do not meet the requirements.
