Pascal Haegeli: Making models more useful for avalanche forecasting

April 27, 2021

Pascal Haegeli is an assistant professor of resource and environmental management at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV and a renowned expert in avalanche safety research. He and his team are working on methods and approaches for making computer models that simulate the evolution of the seasonal snowpack more accessible for avalanche forecasters. In the study, , he presents an algorithm that allows us to summarize simulations and compare them to observations in a meaningful way.
