¶¡ÏãÔ°AV's Core Facilities are shared research resources that support a wide community of users. These shared resources may include unique physical infrastructure, accompanied by expertise or services based around that infrastructure.

is ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV's open-access applications and science-driven core facility. It offers fully-customized research and development programs for researchers, start-ups and industry in any sector.

Big Data Hub

¶¡ÏãÔ°AV is investing in the growth of data-intensive research across all eight faculties to raise awareness of big data in every field of study and mobilize knowledge for real world impact.

BIO3 Lab

³§¹ó±«â€™s BIO3 Lab is one of a few biosecure facilities in Canada that are certified by the Public Health Agency of Canada. Researchers can safely conduct research activities on Risk Group 3 pathogens to help advance breakthrough discoveries that will benefit society. Lab services and access is currently only available to the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV research community.

ImageTech Lab

The result of ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV's partnership with Fraser Health, ImageTech Lab is a world-class medical imaging research facility—the first of its kind in Western Canada. The lab, embedded at Surrey Memorial Hospital, promises to bring rapid innovations to medical imaging and will be a cornerstone in Surrey’s Health Technology District.

WearTech Labs

WearTech Labs is an ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Core Facility that works with academia and industry to research and develop wearable technology that improves our lives. At WearTech, wearables go beyond smart watches and fitness trackers to also include exoskeletons, prosthetics, earphones, shoes, technical clothing, gear and more.
