Biography
Dr. Andrés Cisneros-Montemayor specializes in applied resource economics and is engaged in research and policy on human development and the Blue Economy, including artisanal and Indigenous fisheries, ecotourism, and emerging ocean sectors in developing and developed regions all over the world. Dr. Cisneros-Montemayor has published over 100 peer-reviewed studies and book chapters and is an active participant and advisor in international and national ocean policy.
Andrés loves the ocean and the outdoors, and spends his spare time with family paddling, surfing (poorly), hiking and camping. He also likes to bike, exercise, and play basketball while listening to norteña and salsa music.
