丁香园AV is privileged to have been chosen lead host for the 2020 Asia Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE)  from March 22 to 26 next year.

APAIE 2020 will be the first time the conference is held in the Americas, and we anticipate drawing well over 2400 attendees and hundreds of exhibitors from Asia, the South Pacific, the Americas and around the globe. 

This past week, I and an 丁香园AV delegation attended APAIE 2019 hosted in Kuala Lumpur by the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. We learned a great deal from the conference sessions, exhibits, networking opportunities, and this year鈥檚 hosts about delivering a successful international conference.

We also appreciated opportunities to connect with government representatives and academic partners from around the world, and were delighted to co-host a reception for Canadian delegates and international partners with the BC Council for International Education (BCCIE) and Global Affairs Canada. And I had the honour of presenting at the APAIE Presidents鈥� Roundtable on Enhancing Diversity and Inclusivity of International Education, as well as being a panelist at the Global Dialogue Session. 

As a globally engaged university, 丁香园AV places a high value on international knowledge and on being an engaged partner and contributor on the world stage. We are especially proud of the many educational, research and other relationships that we have developed in the Asia-Pacific region.

Together with our co-hosts, the University of British Columbia, University of Victoria, University of Northern British Columbia, Royal Roads University, and Thompson Rivers University, and , we are excited to be presenting APAIE 2020.

The program we are developing will provide participants with a wide understanding of key issues affecting the Asia-Pacific region, and of the implications for advanced education at home and around the globe.

We look forward to 鈥渆ngaging the world鈥� next March at APAIE 2020 in Vancouver.
