Current position: Senior Policy Advisor, Passenger Transportation Board (British Columbia)
¶¡ÏãÔ°AV’s MPP program provided experience, direction, and connections that would have been impossible to gain otherwise. The co-op term led to post-graduation work opportunities and contracts outside of government, while the BC Priorities Project built connections that helped me begin my public service career. In every workplace so far, coworkers and supervisors have commented on my ability to write concisely for an executive audience, for which I credit the MPP policy analysis coursework. Similarly, the program’s quantitative analysis courses gave me highly marketable data analysis skills that continue to pay off in unexpected ways. Finally, I formed friendships in the program lasting well beyond graduation with people who challenged my perspectives and helped me become a more nuanced, thoughtful analyst.
