4th Annual Aboriginal Students in Math and Science Workshop

The main goal of the workshop is to give an opportunity to Aboriginal high school students to experience "hands on" mathematics and science through various activities presented by four young university instructors. The participants will also meet Ms. Taleen Lageston from the M矇tis Nation who is working as a Pension Consultant for Aon Hewitt, Vancouver, B.C.

12:00 - 12:15 - "What is Actuarial mathematics" with Taleen Lageston, Aon Hewitt

1:00 - 1:50 - "Aha Math Moments" with Shawn Desaulniers, Department of Mathematics, Okanagan College

2:00 - 3:00 - "3D printing and Science" with , Department of Chemistry, 間眅埶AV
3:00 - 4:00 - 間眅埶AV Campus tour 

The workshop is organized by the Math Catcher Outreach Program,  , , and . The workshop comes at no cost to the participants.
