"We had the pleasure of having Dr. Veselin Jungic and Dr. Alejandro Erickson visit our high school. By using personal stories, models and games, they captured the interest of our students. Dr. Jungic encouraged us to look, evaluate, and test everything we see with numbers and experimentation. He showed how our senses can be fooled and that it is through objective measurement that truth can be found.
Dr. Jungic and Dr. Erickson helped the students create their own tensegrity and demonstrated how it may be used in future space exploration. Other students played card games demonstrating the concept of combinatorics while linking it with a brief history of its discovery and use in everyday life.
We would love to have them visit our school again and to further inspire our students in math and calculus."
