The Math Catchers Outreach Program visited the T’Sou-ke territory in Sooke B.C.  Dr. Veselin Jungic and Lindsay Clifton visited John Muir Elementary where we had the chance to inspire 4 classrooms from grades 2-5 with our math puzzles and math magic.  Every student got involved in our activities, from guessing how many students there are in ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV to our math puzzles and making Mobius strips. The enthusiasm the students have towards our math puzzles and tricks is remarkable.  They thoroughly enjoyed cutting the Mobius strips in half to get one loop, so they can put it on their head to make it into a tiara.  Then to see the enjoyment from these kids who are having so much fun playing with our math toys was perfect.  Hopefully the students continue to have fun in math just as they did with us for the hour we were there.  It was a great pleasure to meet all the wonderful teachers and students at John Muir Elementary School.  I would like to thank Michelle Wolf for inviting us to come to your school to promote math to your students.  Fun was had by all.
