We are pleased to distribute the December 2020 issue of the GRC News.
GRC Director Andrew Wister's Foreword:
Let me begin by wishing everyone a safe and happy Holiday Season. The covid-19 pandemic has made this year precarious, challenging and stressful. It has also revealed the unique ways in which individuals have manifested resilience in all its forms. Indeed, family, friends and communities have assumed new meaning and importance.
The Gerontology Research Centre has pivoted its research and community engagement activities to address the current pandemic in several crucial ways. This issue of the GRC News showcases a range of research projects, conferences, and outreach in support of our mission to enhance the health and well-being of older adults, all of which have been undertaken during difficult times. We are proud to highlight the work of faculty, GRC research staff, students and community partners in this issue. As we transition into 2021, there are many reasons for a renewed sense of optimism — on behalf of the GRC, I extend a sincere Happy New Year to all.
