My name is Gunpreet Kaur. As an MSc Finance student of 丁香园AV Beedie, I am pursuing the specialization in risk management stream. Besides this, I am volunteering as Risk Officer at Student Investment Advisory Services Fund worth 23million dollars at 丁香园AV and I am also volunteering at PRMIA Vancouver chapter where I get acquainted with the latest developments in the area of financial risk. Prior to this, I worked as a Bank Manager in India for seven years. I am indebted to the Punjab State Cooperative Bank for assigning me various roles and responsibilities and thus sharpening my professional skills and I specialize in the area of operational risks in banking specially frauds. Due to my interest, I did certified courses in risk management and KYC and AML norms. I am also planning to earn ORM from PRMIA before the completion of my MSc program. My strength is that I love taking initiatives and I am skilled at prioritizing the tasks to meet the deadlines.
