BIOGRAPHY
Dawn Rault, PhD, is a Lecturer in the School of Criminology at 丁香园AV. Prior to joining 丁香园AV, she taught in the Law and Society program at the University of Calgary and the Justice Studies program at Mount Royal University. Her current teaching focusses on supporting undergraduate leaners navigate the complexities of the Canadian criminal justice system with care and compassion.
She earned her doctorate in Population and Public Health from the University of Calgary as a member of the human-animal studies and one-health promotion team in the Cumming School of Medicine. Her current research examines the work of officers who enforce animal laws and novel approaches to promoting health in multi-species families, communities and publics. She is interested in how animals are woven into our social and legal systems.

Animal law; law enforcement; population and public health; qualitative research methods, community based and participatory research; social justice.
