Renee Sarojini Saklikar
Renée Sarojini Saklikar is a poet and lawyer who lives in Vancouver on the unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples.
The former poet laureate for the City of Surrey, and a creative writing instructor and editor, she is the author of four books, including the ground-breaking poetry book about the bombing of Air India Flight 182, , which won the Canadian Authors Association Poetry Prize. She is the co-author, with Dr. Mark Winston, of the poetry and essay collection, , winner of the 2019 Gold Medal Independent Publishers Book Award, Environment/Ecology.
Her newest book, Bramah and the Beggar Boy, an epic fantasy in verse, is part one of a series. The next book, Bramah's Quest, will be published in 2023 (Nightwood Editions).
