David Toyoda is the founder of Pacific Star Corporate Finance Law. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a bachelor of laws and a bachelor of commerce degree with honours.

He has taught numerous courses for the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC and the TSX Venture Exchange and is a past chair of the securities law subsection of the Canadian Bar Association (BC Branch). He has participated in international securities transactions, including cross-border financings for U.S. public companies in Canada, and in establishing U.S. markets for Canadian public companies. He has been teaching securities-related courses at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV since 1994.
