Lyndsay Poaps
Lyndsay Poaps is a well-respected leader and change-maker with a history of building and transforming organizations that serve a strong social purpose.
She has a long history of leading non-profit organizations, most recently as the executive director of the Recycling Council of BC. She served as the executive director of Leadnow, an independent citizen’s advocacy organization, during their historic Vote Together campaign, which remains the largest strategic voting effort in Canada. She co-founded Check Your Head and is the founder of Frontrunner, a campaign school for women.
Lyndsay served as an elected Commissioner to Vancouver’s Board of Parks and Recreation and was an Urban Fellow with the City of Toronto. Dedicated to the well-being of her community, volunteerism has led her to a variety of roles such as a board member with REACH, a community health centre, and as a member and spokesperson for the City of Vancouver’s Engaged City Task Force. Lyndsay is passionate about engaging people in social and environmental policy to improve community-building and decision-making.
