Creative Non-Fiction 2
Hone your writing skills and strengthen your storytelling voice in this intensive course designed to help emerging writers of creative non-fiction make informed decisions for their work. What structure should your story take? Whose point-of-view should it be told from? Which parts of an interview should you keep as dialogue, and which parts should you paraphrase?
If you've got the basics down and are looking to develop and polish your work for publication, this hands-on course offers readings, discussions, writing activities and workshops to give you a deeper understanding of your craft as you engage in the important work of writing the true stories that matter to you.
Workshopping and feedback: This course includes instructor feedback on weekly assignments. You'll also submit two pieces for workshopping and receive written feedback from your instructor and other students. In turn, you'll provide feedback to your classmates, and benefit your own writing by seeing feedback on others' work.
