In this course, you'll learn the most effective techniques for sourcing, onboarding and retaining employees. You'll learn how to find the right candidate for your organization, and ensure they have a positive onboarding experience and become successful and engaged at both the employee and organizational levels.
Core topics include: recruitment, talent acquisition, employee management and transitioning processes.
Note: If you're new to the field of human resources, you should take Human Resources Management in Canada (CHRM200) before taking this course.

- Build a pre-assessment recruitment process to meet hiring needs
- Develop a recruitment process to source and select new potential candidates
- Develop a talent management process that aligns to organizational goals
- Examine the transitioning process for employees
How you will learn and be evaluated
- Prepare to spend 7–10 hours per week on coursework
- Expect readings and other assignments on a weekly basis
- Plan to access the course at least once every few days to keep up with your work and class discussions
- Connect with the instructor via email, online posts, and optional live Q&A Zoom sessions scheduled by the instructor (summaries/recordings available)

To earn the certificate, complete all courses with a minimum average grade of C.
