Business Analytics
Learn to analyze organizational performance measures from a qualitative and quantitative perspective. You will discover how to quantify a process change using financial analysis, which is an essential component of every aspect of business analysis.
You鈥檒l be introduced to income statements and the difference between capital and operating expenses, and to financial analysis tools, including: cost-benefit analysis, net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR) and return on investments (ROI鈥檚).
You will also learn to apply what-if analysis to produce a range of outcomes that support informed decision-making, and apply strategy analysis to identify and address organizational needs.

What you will learn
After completing this course, you should have a general knowledge of the following:
- Analyze proposed solutions from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives
- Assess a strategic analysis framework to ensure alignment with stakeholder and organizational goals
- Evaluate the performance and value of a solution currently used within an organization
- Assess the financial viability, stability and benefit of a recommended solution using financial analysis tools to guide decision-making
- Analyze complex data sets that guide the business analysis process by using MS Excel

- Prepare to spend 6鈥�10 hours per week on coursework
- Expect reading, exercises, group discussions, case studies and presentations
You will be evaluated on a Pass/Fail basis on:
- Assignments
- Individual or group projects and presentations
- Participation and attendance
To graduate with the Business Analysis Certificate, successfully pass all nine courses.
