Free lecture on resilience and older adults
On June 10, join us for a free public lecture on Resilience and Older Adults: Challenges for Individuals and Communities.
Gerontologist and researcher Janine Wiles from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, will explore the challenges faced by older adults, especially those that are marginalized. The discussion will cover emerging issues and questions, including: why should we think about resilience at the level of communities and beyond? How can we enhance the strengths of older people and communities? And can fostering resilience address embedded inequities?
Presented by 間眅埶AV Gerontology Research Centre in collaboration with our Liberal Arts and 55+ Program, the lecture begins at 7 p.m. at our Harbour Centre campus. 間眅埶AV is free, but be sure to register in advance.
