Robin-Lee Vance
Robin-Lee has worked for Community Futures Lesser Slave Lake Region in northern Alberta since 2016. She was the Community Engagement Coordinator and currently is the Business Analyst. Her main focus is on assisting new or established entrepreneurs launch or develop their business, including developmental lending. She enjoys the opportunity to help entrepreneurs launch or optimize their businesses. Community economic development in the Lesser Slave Region is the overall goal of Community Futures and Robin-Lee loves to partner on community economic development issues that improve the social conditions of her community. Newcomer integration, workforce development, sustainability and improving the local housing situation are current projects and passions.
Robin-Lee has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from McMaster University and a Human Resources Management Diploma from Northern Lakes College.
For the past 28 years, she has lived and worked in small, northern communities in British Columbia and Alberta. While raising a family, she was a volunteer coordinating and instructing youth for Scouts Canada, Sunday School programs and local arts programs. She has volunteered with local community organizations including a trail association, public libraries, arts council, and thrift shop, offering administrative support and leadership as a board member.
