The B.C. Centre for Agritech Innovation (BCCAI) supports small and medium enterprises (SMEs), agri-producers and food processors in meeting their innovation needs. We provide our partners access to funding and domain knowledge via experts from academia, industry and government. The centre works with partners to develop and advance technology solutions and training opportunities to solve industry challenges, build resilient supply chains and generate global solutions for food insecurity and climate change.

Cultivating workforce growth
We provide access to training and upskilling opportunities for the current and future workforce, empowering them with cutting-edge technical and business knowledge. Based on the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion, our programs enable participation from underrepresented groups, including women, persons with disabilities, Indigenous Peoples, and members of visible minorities.
Provincial and federal funding
The centre, launched in 2022, is generously supported by a $10M investment from Pacific Economic Development Canada (PacifiCan) and a $6.5M investment from the Province of British Columbia.

The centre, led by ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV, collaborates closely with universities across B.C., including the University of the Fraser Valley, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, University of Victoria, The University of British Columbia, and Thomson River University, providing expertise and excellence at local and regional levels.
